Triple D Goes Hawaiian (DV0811H)

Season Eight, Episode Eleven

Triple D Goes Hawaiian - Original Airdate 4/5/10

Guy Fieri checks out the hot spots in Hawaii. A third-generation, family-run joint doing plate-lunch Hawaiian style. A restaurant by the water, where the daily special really is the catch of the day. A hot dog place serving everything from Chicago dogs to homemade lobster dogs. And an authentic luau, where the centerpiece of the full Hawaiian spread is a whole roasted pig.

Wednesday, April 15th, just had dinner at the Highway Inn in Waipahu. What a great place to eat! Had everything Guy ate and it was wonderful (the Lau Lau, the pork, the steak, poi, the salmon and the coconut custard). The owner's daughter came and talked to us and give us a free sample of the squid and taro leaves with coconut milk. The place was exactly what I was looking for as a visitor to Oahu, from Nashville, Tn and here on vacation. IT WAS GREAT!

Try to never miss an episode! I've posted Saturday about a BBQ trailer we found at the side of the road in Florida. It was awesome!
