The restaurant in question was Hob Nob Hill in San Diego. They weighed down the corned beef with plates in a garbage can.

I've been to Vito & Nicks and to Tommy's Joint.

At Vito & Nick's they have very good (although not GREAT) pizza. It is very thin crust pizza, which makes it stand out here in Chicago. It is the best place in the neighborhood to watch a Bears game. On a 1-10 I'd give it an 8. Good neighborhood joint.

Tommy's joint is exactly what you see on the Triple D episode. Assembly line, big portions and very good food at a great price. The best part of the Tommy's joint is the waitresses. They are fun, engaging, attentive, and they comment on everything. I took my daughter Kaylie to Tommy's and she wants to go back based on the fun waitresses. They were great about getting pictures. Not a place I'd take my family for a special meal, but definitely a place I'd go with some buddies before a sporting event.
