While attending the U of Tennessee, I visited the Pizza Palace. As per the DDD episode, I ordered some onion rings for an appetizer. I was very disappointed in that the onion rings had no flavor (needed salt) and I found the batter to be heavy and greasy. Overall, I can say that I was disappointed.
